I am Ghassan Salem, a Palestinian actor and drama educator from Gaza. My life’s work is driven by a belief in the revolutionary power of authentic storytelling and community leadership. Whether performing on screen, managing technical productions, or leading drama workshops for the youth of Gaza, I am committed to a single, vital truth: The people of Palestine love life, and we deserve to live it in dignity. My art is not just a performance; it is a testament to our existence and our right to dream. I was deeply honored to receive the Best Actor Award at the 2025 Lens on Palestine Festival, a recognition I share with every Gazan who finds beauty amidst the struggle. Through the stage and the screen, I continue to show the world that our stories are worth telling, and our lives are worth living

Estropia

The film received the Special Jury Prize at the 35th Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival, which took place in October 2019.
The film addresses the suffering of the people of Gaza, particularly its youth, graduates, and the unemployed, who find themselves facing harsh choices due to the deteriorating social and economic conditions. It highlights the motivation of illegal immigration as a last resort, following the story of four young men attempting to leave Gaza and facing the dangers posed by migrant smuggling gangs at sea.

Emptiness (Faragh),Award winning at the Lens On Palestine Festival, Oman

"Emptiness" follows the journey of Bilal, a young man from Gaza whose spirit was shattered by the war. After a pivotal incident that changed the course of his life, he wanders through a city reduced to rubble, haunted by memories and surrounded by scenes of destruction.

In his agonizing search for his missing family, especially his daughter whom he has never seen, Bilal confronts the profound emptiness left behind by the war—an emptiness of the soul, the pain of loss, and the helplessness of man in the face of devastation.

The film raises a poignant human question: Can a person find themselves amidst such destruction?

No Real Body

No Real Body is a practical metaphysical experimental arrangement by Baltensperger + Siepert: three film productions at three different locations were given the same directions in the form of a screenplay (Uwe Lützen) that follows A strict time table but at the same time leaves room for improvisation. The resulting situations depict plausible and probable configurations in worlds far removed from the cultural context in which the screenplay was written.
